Strategy

Hi Alois

I wanted to know what would be the weak spot for a player with penhold grip, is it the backhand because I see no way of making the backhand topspin or chop with a pendold grip . The reason I wanted to know this is that I have a few penhold grip players in my group but not played with them so far.

Is the match strategy course do you plan to have a lesson for strategy against a penhold grip player as well.

Thanks

Grenville

Hi Grenville,

We will develop a match strategy for playing penholders.  In general they find it harder to attack on the backhand but the backhand is a solid blocking side for them.  If attacking it is often better to topspin to the forehand side as it is more difficult for them to get over the top of the ball to block a topspin.
