PingSkills Privacy Policy
Effective date: 27 August 2026
PingSkills is operated by the partnership trading as PingSkills International, ABN 28 264 670 685. PingSkills is based in Australia and provides online table tennis education, coaching and membership services internationally.
At PingSkills, we respect the privacy needs of our valued members. This Privacy Policy outlines what specific information is gathered on the PingSkills website and how that information is used.
Maintaining the privacy of your information is especially important to us as it helps foster confidence, goodwill and stronger relationships with all of you. If, at any time, you have questions or concerns about our privacy practices, please feel free contact us.
Information Collection and Use
PingSkills may collect and hold personal information including your name, email address, account and authentication details, profile and timezone information, membership and subscription details, contact-form messages, forum questions and comments, coaching submissions, and communications with us. We may also collect technical and security information such as your IP address, browser or device details, session information and server logs.
We use this information to provide and secure accounts, deliver and improve our services, respond to enquiries, provide coaching and community features, administer memberships and subscriptions, process payments and refunds, send service communications, and send newsletters or other permitted marketing communications. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand usage and improve PingSkills.
Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe. PingSkills does not receive or store full payment card numbers, but we may retain limited billing information and payment-related identifiers needed to manage memberships, payments, refunds, fraud prevention and accounting.
Users may choose to publish information or content through public or member-facing areas such as forum questions, comments or coaching features. Content shared in those areas may be visible to other users or the public. We do not sell or rent personal information or contact lists to third parties.
Service Providers and Overseas Disclosures
We use trusted service providers to operate PingSkills. Depending on the service involved, these providers may process personal information on our behalf, including account, payment, communications, technical, security and content-delivery information. Our providers include Stripe for payment processing, Amazon Web Services for email and storage services, Cloudflare for security and spam prevention, Google and YouTube for video-related services, and our website hosting and infrastructure providers.
Some of these providers or their service partners may be located outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. This means personal information may be transferred to, stored in or accessed from countries outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle information in accordance with applicable privacy obligations and limit disclosures to what is reasonably required to provide, secure and improve PingSkills. The privacy practices of those providers may also apply to their handling of information.
Communications from the Site
Account and Service Communications
We send emails that are necessary to provide and secure the service, such as account verification, password and security messages, membership and subscription notices, payment or refund information, and responses to enquiries. These service communications may continue while you maintain an account or use the relevant service.
Newsletters and Marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise agree to receive marketing communications, we may send information about PingSkills content, products, services, offers and events. We will send commercial electronic messages only where permitted by applicable law, and every marketing email will include a clear and simple way to unsubscribe. You can also update your communication preferences through your account where that option is available.
We will stop sending the relevant marketing communications when you unsubscribe or withdraw your marketing preference, subject to the time reasonably required to process the request. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential account or service communications.
Member Support
We communicate with members and customers to provide support, answer questions, manage memberships and process requests made through the website.
Website Usage Information
We use technical information, including IP addresses and server logs, to help diagnose problems, protect accounts, prevent abuse and administer the website. We may use aggregated usage information to understand which areas of PingSkills are used and to improve the service. We do not use this information to sell or rent personal information or contact lists to third parties. Cookies and similar browser storage may be used for authentication, security, preferences and essential website functionality.
Retention, Deletion and Security
We retain personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining account and membership records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations. When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it, de-identify it or put it beyond use, subject to legal requirements and practical backup processes.
You may request deletion of your PingSkills account by contacting us through our contact form. We may need you to cancel an active subscription before the account can be deleted, and we may retain or anonymise limited billing, transaction or other information where required or permitted by law.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is subject to a legal notification requirement, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Access, Correction and Complaints
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or irrelevant. Please use our contact form and select or mention “Privacy” in your enquiry. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request, and we will handle requests within the time and manner required by applicable law.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first through the contact form with the details of your concern. We will review the matter and work with you to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or another relevant privacy regulator in your country.
Policy Modifications
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If/when PingSkills makes changes to this privacy statement, we will post any changes here, so be sure to check back periodically. However, please be assured that if the Privacy Policy changes in the future, we will never use the personal information you have submitted to us under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
