Training
Hi Alois, with virus lockdowns in many countries and clubs closed due the virus do you have any suggestions for how to use this time at home to exercise or other types of training that can be done while restricted to the house, please?
Chris
Hi Chris,
It is an interesting time for all of us.
I think doing some physical exercise is one way we can keep up. This is very personal so try to get advice on this for yourself.
There are also things like service practice if you have a table. You can even do some experimentation with learning to spin the ball like we show you in the Learning to Spin tutorial.
Some of you may be lucky enough to have a robot or a partner that can play as well that will allow you to hit some balls.
Stay safe.
We have a tutorial on Practicing Alone that may have some good tips for you as well.
This is the second training plan focusing on match strategy. Last week we looked at your strengths and building a game around that. This week you should examine one of your competitors and pick out their weaknesses. Then you can design some training drills to expose those weaknesses. By doing this you'll be able to exploit them in a match situation and win points more easily.
