Hi, can you please tell me if the finger & thumb are used merely to hold the bat or used to add a little extra speed to your shots. If so how and when are they used. Many Thanks Roger

Hi Roger,

The finger and thumb are primarily used for holding the bat.  You should try to keep them relaxed through your strokes.  If you tighten them you will start to get tight in the wrist and then also arm.
