Good Day,

I took the pedal of the gas wrt to training about a month ago. Maybe like 2-3 sessions per week. I started back playing regualar last week or two. My question is, what can i do to get in tournament mode asap. I have a tournament next weekend. My form isnt all that compact right now but i am hoping by next week i should be back into a fairly ok form. I played everyday for the last 10 days for 2hrs per session. What advice can you give that could assist me in to be best prepared for this tournament? I know its last minute and should have been training hard consistently but sometimes i just take it light to balance life etc.

I realized during the sessions that my condition and movements are not as sharp and crisp as before. I am hoping can get some form asap.

Thanks.

Hi Anson,

The regular training you are doing now will be enough to get you back to form.

The main things to focus on now in the lead up to the tournament are service, return of serve and third ball attacking.  The first 3 balls of the rally.

Let us know how you get on in the tournament.

In our 52 Week Training Plan we focus the last 8 weeks on tournament preparation.
