Hi Jeff/Alois,

I'm a intermediate - advance T.T. player and plays regularly. I would like to ask you what would be the best racket combination for a attacking/offensive player. My F/H is stronger than my B/H, although i am still working on building up my B/H techniques to be as strong as my F/H. I was considering to place either Butterfly Bryce Speed FX or Joola Energy X-tra on my forehand but not quite sure what to put of my backhand as i still want some speed and spin but more control as my backhand shots tend to be a little weaker. For the blade i am considering the Butterfly BalsaCarbo X5 or something similar. Currently i have Yasaka Mark V on F/H and Butterfly Sriver EL on B/H on a 729 blade. It has been about 1.5 years since i purchased it and have used it quite frequently; speed glued it about 20 times and it seems like it has been losing its magic touch since i first bought it. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank-you

Hi Dave,

Don't be too equipment conscious.

You could stick with your blade.  The Balsa Carbo may be OK for you if you really need to change.  Have you tried one to see how it feels?

I would stick with the Sriver EL on the backhand or even try the Mark V on the backhand and see how it feels.  You don't want anything too fast there.  The Bryce or Joola Energy X-tra will both be good for the forehand.

Remember though, think more about your training than your equipment.
