Hi. I recently purchased your Serving Secrets Dvd and am working on the pendulum serve for back and side spin. I'm getting the spin, but almost all the balls are going into or topping the net. Is there a way to correct this? Great dvd, by the way. Thanks.

Hi David,
This is a common problem when you start to do this serve.
Try hitting the ball from a little higher and hitting the ball more into the table close to your end line. If you get the ball to bounce on your side too close to the net it hasn't got time to get up and clear the net.

Varying the spin on your serve makes it harder to return. You can vary the type of spin but possibly even more effective is varying the amount of spin.
