Good morning sir

My backhand has now improved as per your guidance but whenever the opposite player hits the smash and when i try to defend the ball the ball always goes a little high and again the opposite player hit the smash and so on.....................

Is there an easy way out?

Hi Minhaj,

I think you've identified the problem yourself. Once the ball goes high your opponent can smash it. This means you need to keep the ball low to stop them from making the smash in the first place. Especially on your serve, you should concentrate on this.

If a ball does go a bit high and they do start attacking you just need to defend the best you can and hope you can force them into a mistake. Try and do a little bit more with your block by placing it to a position that will be difficult for your opponent to smash again. As the ball is going a little high, you may need to close the face of your bat a bit when making the block.

Give these few tips a try and let me know if they help you out.
