Serving
Hey Alois and Jeff.
In one of your videos about serving you have said that the ball has to be on centre of your hand and not on the fingers with a flat hand, you then said the reason for it not being aloud on the fingers is because you can spin the ball when you toss it up and your not aloud to do that, well today i was practicing my serves and i was doing everything right but still finding when i toss the ball up it still spins when im tossing it from the centre of my hand and i think because im bringing my hand towards me as i toss it up, am i aloud to do that or not?
Thanks.
Hi Evander,
You are right you do have to have the ball on a flat palm. If you are throwing the ball up from the palm you can still generate a bit of spin if you drag the hand across the ball when you are throwing it up. Think about the ball leaving the hand cleanly and quickly and you won't have any problems.
You will find that the ball will rotate a little bit no matter how careful you are with throwing it up.
