Hi alois

My coach always insist on telling me to hit the stroke early on the bounce because it meant that the reaction time for the opponent will be less and also prevents topspin it go towards you a lot. I'm starting to get the hang of it, but could you please give me a few tricks on it.

Thanks Mat

Hi Mat,

You can listen to the ball when you play.  It makes a rhythm,  Try to get a faster rhythm with the sound of the ball.  This will help you to get the ball a bit earlier.

Thinking technically, make sure you are moving in closer to the table with your feet and body to remain balanced.  If you reach forward you will throw yourself off balance and make it harder to maintain control of the ball.
