I've heard that "Shadow Play" can do wonders for your game. I was just wondering if you could possibly expand a little bit on how shadow play is conducted.

Hi Dave,

Shadow play is a term used to describe practicing strokes without a ball.

It can be beneficial initially to groove your stroke.  It takes the emphasis away form where the ball is going and gets you to focus on the movement of your body and arm.

You can do these strokes very slowly to reall yfocus on the movements a little like Tai Chi or you can do them fast for exercise. 

With shadow play you can also focus on your footwork movements.  Try practicing the movement including playing the stroke without using a ball.

Anything that you practice on the table can be done using shadow play.

Yes this can be useful especially to get your movements better.
