Serving
Why do some players stomp their feet while doing their serve?
Hi Clement,
It is usually a part of their action and the foot comes down hard to push off and jump into the next position.

Players stomp because they are trying to hide the sound of the racket hitting the ball. Some opponents can recognise the spin on the serve just by hearing the contact. It is a legal action and is used instead of hiding the ball with your arm.

First time I didn’t like an answer by Alois.
i understand that Alois doesn’t want to spread unfairness as a solussion so it might be actively avoided by Alois to point to this what Gerard is talking about... but truth is truth

Instead of „spread“ better word is „endorse“
