how to defence a backhand sidespin flick? I'm not being able to defence it but i can do the backhand sidespin flick.
Hi Roshni,
To return this shot you need to allow for the sidespin. It is difficult to return because the ball comes onto you quite quickly. It doesn't have much topspin on it so you need to lift it a little more than you would expect. The main thing though is to watch what happens each time you hit one back and try to learn from it. If the ball is going out to one side, angle your bat to the other side. If the ball is going into the net turn your bat back to lift it more and so on.
