Purchasing a racket

Hi,

Alois and Jeff. i want to purchase a new racket. Should i purchase a heavy, medium or light racket and should be its spin, control and speed rate.

Hi Harikrishnan,

This really depends a lot on your level. When starting out you want a bat that is not too fast so that you can hit the ball on the table a lot of times and learn the correct technique for your strokes. If you start with a very fast bat, it is hard to control and hence hard to develop a full and correct swing. Once you have developed your strokes then it really comes down to personal preference and your style of play.
