The quality of both is the same.  It is just a matter of preference.

I did read somewhere that they did a study and that, on average, players' reaction times were faster with orange balls.  I guess it depends also on the colour of the background but it seems to make sense because you'd think it would be easier to pick up a brighter colour.

I definitely remember reading it somewhere but I can't remember where.  I did a google search but couldn't find it...

Perhaps someone else has read the same article?
