Dear Alois,

What is the best technique or tactics to play against the player close to the table?

Hi Hakim,

Try to use variation of spin and speed.

Often players that stay close like the ball coming to them fast. They will use your speed to out place you.  Therefore the slower ball can be effective.

Also change the depth of your strokes.  Because they are close to the table a deeper ball followed by a shorter topspin ball can effect their timing.
