I am having trouble landing shots on the table with my forehand shot. Either hitting off the table, into the net, or off the edge of my paddle and soaring into the ceiling. What am I doing wrong?

Technique is the key. Work on making sure you have the technique of the shot correct. If it is the Forehand Counterhit you are looking to improve, take special note in the tutorial on the start and finish positions of the stroke. Then practice to make sure you have the feel and technique correct. It may take some time but you will get there.
