Strokes
Hi Coach,
I’m still trying to perfect my forehand topspin but I still have some little problems.
I feel like I'm still using too much shoulder instead of my upper body delivering the power. But when I try to really throw my upper body into the stroke my recovery is way too slow for the next ball.
How can I get this to work and finally be able to make high quality topspins.
Kind regards Rob
Hi Rob,
Try to keep a good balanced base while doing the stroke. This will help with the recovery. Perhaps you are throwing yourself off balance while trying to play the faster strokes. Also think about your shoulder being more relaxed. If your shoulder is tight the rest of your body has to work a lot harder to make the stroke. Allow the shoulder joint to work fluently.
