Hi Alois,

Sorry to bother you again but I was wondering what is a good penhold bat for intermediates. I am currently using a 5 star DHS remade bat with DHS HURRICANE 3 on either side.

Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The most important thing is the rubber.  We like Mark V as a rubber.  We also have the PingSkills Touch Penhold blade which would be suitable.

I find that Yasaka makes very good quality pen hold blades. Mine was the Yasaka Extra and it was a good blade with good touch and the power was definitely just great. As in you get what you put in. If you went fast the ball was fast, if you went slow the ball was slow. If your premade bat had hurricane 3 on it and you are used to it you should really consider putting another sheet of Hurricane 3 neo on it because it is tacky while mark v is not so the stroke you use will have to adapt if you get mark v. Therefore if you are comfortable with Hurricane stay with it.

Ps. If you also use the reverse side mark v would be a great choice for that.
