Net rolling

Rules

Last week I got a really weird shot. The ball was coming to me super low, short and falling down the side of the table. When I hit it, it just glided along the net and quite literally went to the other side. It bounced once at the beginning of when it was on the net, but the rest was just smooth movement. Is this legal?

Hi Adam,

Yes that sounds like a legal shot... and very impressive.

As long as the ball only bounces once on your side of the table and then is returned to your opponent's side then it is a legal shot.
