Can Wearables help

Hi coach,

i wanted to know about the problems that most table tennis players face frequently.

How do the players track their performance? And what would make a player feel more confident about your training? Have you suggested any wearable/tech before? If not, why?
I wanted to ask the importance of metrics like shot force, speed, accuracy, etc. How does it impact my game?

If a player gets the data related to their move like speed, hand angle, wrist movement, how will it impact their game and overall performance? Will it help in their improvement?

I request you to answer this question as it will help me in my improvement. Thank you for your time.

Hi Ratnam,

We don't suggest any wearables as I don't think there is anything that is relevant enough at this stage.

I think it is important also not to get too distracted by the small technical changes that you can make because Table Tennis is such a dynamic sport with so many variables in front of you.  The speed of the ball coming in, the spin on the ball the direction and also where you are moving to from the previous shot.
