Long pips push

Strokes

Alois, whenever I chop with the backhand close to the table with long pips (my pips are facing the ceiling so my racket is very open) the ball goes into the net. Should I do more of a push or a mini chop (as I already am doing) when I am close to the table. I only do my open face mini backhand chop when my opponent pushes to me.

Hi Noah,

Close your bat over to face the net.  Then push forward on the ball.  It sounds like the ball is popping up off your bat and not making it to the net.
