Dear Alois,
When my opponent serves me on the wide forehand i'm unable to pick that serve, and when i slightly move towards wide forehand he serves me on the wide backhand.
i cannot have a better grip on the ground because the place where i practice , it's floor is very slippery. So, what should i do?
I'll be very thankful to you for your great professional advice.
Regards,
Shreyance
Hi Shreyance,
Firstly think about getting your legs down a little lower. This will give you better balance and will help you to move on the slippery floor. Keep still and balanced so that you can move either way when he serves. If you are leaning one way or the other it will be easier for your opponent to catch you off balance.
Secondly, see if you can focus even better on the ball when it is in his hand and he is ready to serve. This will help you to pick up the serve a little earlier. This will help you to cover those serve to the to corners.
Let me know if this helps.
