How to identify backspin

Strokes

How do you identify whether the ball is carrying backspin to no spin?  I find it very difficult to identify it and because of that started playing loops for balls having no spin which results the ball to go out or no proper contact.

Because of this I am losing too many State ranking matches.  Please tell me a solution as fast as you can because I have a State ranking tournament coming this week.

Thank you.

With regards

Hi Saishiv,

There isn't a quick fix for this.

Watch the contact of your opponent's bat on the ball carefully.  This will give you all the information that you need.  You can also watch the flight of the ball.  A backspin ball will stay up in the air a little longer than the flatter ball or topspin ball.

When you see a no spin ball play more forward on the topspin stroke.  Still make sure that you are finishing above your eye level.
