Hey! Watched some players who can easily smash a service at net level. My question to you is that how do they control the position of the racket and how do they come to know that if  a serve can be hit for a smash. Last but not the least. How to generate more power in your wrist while hitting a smash?

Hi Shubham,

They are playing a fast topspin in most cases rather than a smash.  Take a look at the lessons on the Forehand Topspin Against Block and then the Advanced Forehand Topspin for some ideas on generating the correct stroke and then a faster stroke.

Often it looks like they are smashing the ball because of the speed on it but in fact it is a topspin.  The topspin gives it more margin for error because the ball dips onto the table.

Judging whether you an make the topspin often comes down to being able to judge whether the second bounce on your side will be over the table or past the table.  If it is past the table then it is much easier to make the topspin because you can swing from lower.

Thanks. And how to generate more wrist power in the shots we play?

Keep the wrist relaxed.  Take a look at the advanced forehand video and you will see the motion.

How should one generate different types of spin while serving? One suggestion. Hope you don't mind it. Can you make a compiled video of all types of serves with their slo motions and the grip?
