How to chop opponent's spin serve?
Hi Hamdan,
The key to returning a serve is to recognise the spin on the ball. This is an important learning part of the game.
Once you have worked out the type of spin you then need to just use the angle of your bat to counter the spin. If the ball has backspin then you need to open the angle of your bat to get it back over the net. If it is spinning sideways then again use your bat to angle it back. If the ball wants to go to the left, face your bat to the right and it should go back on straight.
Take a look at our lessons on Receiving Secrets which will give you a lot more information on this.
