Hi Pingskills! I found that I have a hard time doing the backhand sidespin flick to receive a pendulum sidespin but much easier to receive a reverse pendulum sidespin. How to do the stroke on the pendulum sidespin?

Hi Xariuz,

It sounds like you have the technique for the Backhand Sidespin flick.   Now is a matter of getting used to the flight of the ball and the spin on the serve.  You need to think about your positioning to get yourself close to the hitting position.  Then you need to think about counteracting the spin on the ball.

All of these things take time to adjust to.  Everyone likes to return a ball spinning one way or the other.  It is a matter of getting used to all types of spins.
