Strokes
uhm i am an all around player usually a backhand dominated style and occasional forehand blocks.. i wanted to try chopping but the ball just flies off the table what do i do?
Hi Samuel,
To chop with inverted rubber takes a bit of touch. You need to have a softer more relaxed hand to keep the ball from flying off the end.
This something that you can practice during a training session. Work on it for a few weeks and then see if you can implement it in a match.
Remember touch is the key. Perhaps see if your bat is too fast as well.

Once you've mastered the start and finish position of the forehand topspin, you can start to focus on finer details. In this video we talk about the position of your legs, weight transfer, varying the finish position, incorporating footwork, the use of your wrist, and the angle of your bat for the stroke.
