hello coach, it's difficult for me to see the angle of my bat to block top spin, is it a good idea to aim the net or to aim  a little shorter as if I want to reach the table nearly as if I want a shorter ball?  my balls are very high if my opponent as a strong top spin, difficult in english.......thanks to understand

Hi Martinand,

If they are putting a lot of topspin on the ball then you can aim more towards the net.  There is a lot of touch required to make this shot.  Try to hit the ball when it is higher so that you have a direct line to the table.

Also take a look through our lesson on Counter a Slow Spinny Topspin.

When you need to reach that really wide ball the regular shuffle step just won't get you there in time so you need to use the crossover step. This is essentially a running action to get you to the ball as fast as possible.

the position of the bat, my bat is in horizontal position when I block, when I look at vidéos, the bat is more vertical (backhand) is it important is it very difficult  when we have horizontal position? it's difficult for the wrist no? may Ihave to change my position?

If the bat is horizontal it is hard to make a good contact because the ball is not seeing much of the bat.  If you make the bat more vertical then you will have a better contact on the ball.
