Equipment
Hello I can't seem to find an answer to my I think very simple question.how can I rejuvenate the colors on my table tennis bat handle. i like to keep my bat clean all the way not just the rubbers sure the appearance of the handle doesn't really affects the performance of the bat but a clean rejuvenated bat boosts my psychology so it kind of affects my performance.can you please recommend me a way to clean my handle and restore the faded from the sweat colors?
Hi George,
I don’t have an answer for you. I don’t think it is possible to rejuvenate it from the sweat. If you sand it back you may effect the weight and balance of the bat.
Anyone else have a solution?
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I don't think there's anything you can do to get rid of the sweat stains once it's soaked deep into the wood. The best thing to do at this point is to use grip tape to cover the handle. The grip tape that's used for tennis racquets will also work on table tennis rackets. I've been using the Wilson Overgrips but other brands should work as well. If you don't want to change the thickness of the handle too much, look for thinner grip tape.
