Hi Alois, i've been having this bad habit for over a year now and i want to fix it. When i play matches and my opponent pushes me the ball anywhere, i tend to shock and not knowing to either play forehand or backhand topspin against backspin, i am a forehand dominant player, and in the videos i sent you, you said im very committed to my forehand. And when my opponent pushes me the ball to my forehand, because im thinking to play a backhand to the backhand side, i play my backhand to my forehand corner anyways.. This mostly happens especially when my opponent pushes fast and deep.

How can i stop this? what should i do?

Thanks for reading!

Hi Pasquale,

I would do more 3rd ball training where you get your partner to push the ball anywhere on the table. You then need to decide whether to play a forehand or backhand.  Set up some targets on the other end and try to focus on nominating where you are going to hit the ball.  This will force you to decide between a forehand and backhand and also be accurate with the topspin.
