Hi Muhammad,

The backhand smash is a difficult stroke. I always say that if the ball is high enough to smash then most likely you have tome to move around and make a foreahnd smash. It is a much safer stroke.

The Backhand smash can be performed by starting with your bat up high at shoulder level. Come thorugh and make a flat contact and follow through forwards. Relax your wrist for more power.

also try going on youtube, put in a search for videos of Kalinkos Kreanga, watch him play, he has an awesome backhand smash/topspin, well worth studying if you want this shot.

you rarely see the top players playing a bona fide backhand smash.  As Alois says, they have the footwork in run around and hit a forehand smash if the ball is flighted.  So I guess the simple answer to the question of how to hit a backhand smash is with your forehand!  The closest to a backhand smash I've seen professionals hit is by Persson...though it's probably more of a backhand punch.  Kreanga is the best example of putting your body into your backhand, but his backhands are more drives than smashes.
