Training
Hi alois,
I'm a player who plays well at times and then horribly at sometimes. It's getting frustrating when knowing that you have taken your game to a new level and then drop back.
Past few weeks, I've been blocking all the fast attacks from better players, looping consistently. But yesterday, I played like a noob and missed all the attacks I usually won't and lost.
Have you faced this problem before and does it frustrate you?
Hi eugene,
This is completely normal.
Jeff and I both found recently when we did our skills challenges, this happened to us as well.
Progress is not linear. There is a lot of ups and downs on the road to improvement. The key thing is that you need to make sure you maintain the consistent levels of practice.
Question actions
Initially when you are learning a new serve you can just get a bucket of balls and serve over and over again. But at some stage you need to practice your serve exactly as you would play in a match. In this session we focus on this. It's important that you try to make this practice as close to a real match as you can so that when you are in the real thing, you feel comfortable.
