Hello sir. I am Pabel and i used to play table tennis until last year but the bat that i used are the cheap ones and did not help me grow as a player. But once i use a custom made bat of a butterfly wood, a jumbo(GKI) for the black face and a xx for the red face: i have lost that racquet somewhere at my friend's place. But now i want to start playing again properly and become a professional through the help of pingskills and my future coach. So for it which bat do you recommed for me. Even if it is a custom made please tell me which one i should including the wood and the faces.

Hi Pabel,

I would start with the PingSkills Rook An ideal first table tennis bat recommended by PingSkills. or something similar and then move on to the PingSkills Touch with Mark V in a year or so.

The Rook comes ready made with rubber already on it that suits someone learning strokes.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
