Where to serve to a left hander

Should I serve short to forehand and long to backhand?  That is what I do to a right hander.

Hi Joseph,

It is a matter of finding a serve that each particular left hander doesn't like.  I know I didn't like the long serve to my backhand but each left hander is different.
