Strokes
Hi
When watching the 2012 Olympics I noticed that Wang Hao was adding a flick to his backhand to generate more spin. Would this work well for a shake hand player? If so how should I execute it?

Hi Sam,
This would also work for a shakehand player. It is good to keep your hand relaxed so that your wrist works through its full range of movement and flicks through at the end. This will give you more speed and spin.
Chop blocks can be deceptive and frustrating — but with the right technique, you can take control.
In this newly updated version of our original video, we break down:
✔ How chop blocks differ from standard blocks
✔ Why timing is crucial when countering
✔ How to adjust your stroke to lift and loop effectively
