Understand gears in the rubber

Hi,
I hope you are all good.
I'd like plz to know about rubber gears. What are they? How can we feel them? And how can we take advantage of them, when they exist in a rubber, when we are playing?

Hi Dan,
I think there is too much emphasis put on these sorts of concepts.
The much more important thing is to find a rubber that you feel comfortable with and then train smart to improve your game.
