TT rackets

Equipment

I have a  TT racket with short pimples on one side and a plain one on the another. The handle is smaller than the usual rackets. Is there any special shots or a good serve which I can execute with the pimpled side?

I mainly use the pimpled side for playing.

Hi Aravind,

This sounds like a penhold bat.  The main use for short pimples is playing flat shots.  They are not very good for generating spin on serves or in the rally.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
