Strokes
hi alois i wanted to ask how to control the direction of the topspin ball and if it from the wrist or using the timing as simon said in down the line topspin and i want to thank you for your time.
Hi Mohamed,
You can use both the timing and the wrist to change direction. They are both effective. The wrist gives you more deception as you can change it more quickly. The timing will give you more accuracy and power.
Once you've mastered the start and finish position of the forehand topspin, you can start to focus on finer details. In this video we talk about the position of your legs, weight transfer, varying the finish position, incorporating footwork, the use of your wrist, and the angle of your bat for the stroke.
