Strokes
How to do a forehand and backhand topspin against massive backspin? It always ended up landing into the net.
Thanks
Hi Khang,
The keys with this stroke are the brushing contact of the ball and having a vertical stroke.
If you are finding the ball always going into the net get the stroke more vertical and try to just brush the ball very finely to pick up the ball. Another thing that I get players to do in this situation is to say to them they are allowed to hit it as high as they want even if it flies 10 metres off the end of the table, but they are just not allowed to hit it into the net. This gets rid of your inhibitions and allows you to swing through more and experiment with how much you can lift the ball. GIve this a try.
Also take a good look at the lessons on Forehand Loop Off Backspin and Backhand Loop Off Backspin to make sure you have your technique correct.
