Strokes
Hi Alois,
I recently played table tennis in our school. I don't understand, why is my forehand spin is not consistent even my backhand. i want to know how is the proper position when striking a forehand and backhand? when my friend serves in my forehand i want to spin it but the ball is going out from the table..
We've played a tournament last month and i was in second place but while i was practicing and preparing for our next tournament i discovered that my forehand and backhand has changed. please help me to improve again my forehand spin, backhand spin, and also when serving..
THANK YOU!!
Sincerely,
johnpaul
Hi Johnpaul,
Watch these two lessons and take particular note of the start and finish positions that you need to get your bat into. If you do that consistently the ball will start to go on the table more consistently.
In this video, we dive into the forehand push, a crucial defensive stroke in table tennis that allows you to control rallies with effective backspin. We break down the three key concepts—start position, feet position, and finish position—to help you execute the stroke with precision. You'll also learn how to adjust your bat angle to generate varying degrees of backspin, depending on the spin your opponent imparts on the ball. Finally, we'll guide you through practical drills to enhance your proficiency and consistency with the forehand push, ensuring you're well-prepared for your next match. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your technique, this tutorial will provide you with the tools to master the forehand push.
