I have observed that the newer generation of world class players are being coached to take the ball much earlier and closer to the table. What are your thoughts?

Hi Conrad,

I think this is OK if they have the abilities to do this.

There is still a lot of play that happens on the counter topspin from away from the table as well.

The earlier you can cope with hitting the ball, the less time you are giving your opponent to react as well.
