Equipment
Hi..l bought this rubber last year and l am very happy with it , however after playing a league handicap cup match this week my opponent was not happy , and produced a list of legal rubber which he stated grass d tecs was not on his list and declared my rubber illegal!
This rubber is currently on sale at various table tennis websites.
Surely it can't be banned if you can still buy it. That would be a breach of the sale of goods act (i.e) unfit for purpose.not to mention wasting £32 of my hard earned cash.
Your advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Robert
Hi Robert,
You can check the list of rubbers on the ITTF site.
Here is a picture of the rubber that is approved. If yours looks like this then it is OK.
The link to the ITTF site is http://www.ittf.com/_front_page/ittf1.asp?category=rubber. Then you can choose a manufacturer and look for the approved rubbers.

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
