I Alois and Jeff.

I recently played against an awkward counter puncher. When I try to rally against him he gets the point by counter punching but when I achieve the point in the start of the rally he gets frustrated and ends up losing the point.

But now he is well versed with my finishing style and now he uses my trick on me. This is causing a huge problem for me as I have never ever played a counter puncher in my life.

Pls help

Hi Harkaran,

The key is to use variation of speed and spin against a counterpuncher.  They rely on your speed and consistency to use that against you.  If you can slow some balls up and put some more spin then it throws them off their rhythm.

We have a tutorial on Playing A Blocker which will show you some tactics.
