Tactical against short pips

Hi Alois and Jeff

I am facing regular trouble in playing while playing with a player who uses short pips on both sides of his blade

My best serve (heavy under spin side spin serve) gets useless in ground of him

And on top of that he is left handed so both of our positions are different 

Pls help
