Hi Ping skills team,

I've been watching your videos on YouTube. I must say they are absolutely great. I have learnt a lot from watching the videos. I play at a club at a mid-level and I try out all the shots that I learnt from the videos. I feel I've improved a lot because of it. Thank you. I need your recommendation for a blade and rubber combination. There are just too many choices out there which has left me confused. I'm left handed. I play with a Donic waldner ultra senso carbon blade with Yasaka Mark V and mark V XS rubbers. While my forehand smashes and drives are great, I find the bat too fast and bouncy and I find it difficult to control. It doesn't have too much feeling and feedback. I need a bat rubber combination which can give me good control and feedback. I'm not sure what combination to go far. Can you please recommend a few options?

Regards,

Uday

Hi Uday,

I think the racket you are using has quite good control for a custom racket.

It may be better to go back to a pre made racket to start with.  Keep your current racket because you will be able to use it in the future.

We have the PingSkills Rook as a guide to what is available in that range of racket.

Based on your description of your playing style and preferences, it sounds like you might benefit from a blade and rubber combination that provides more control and feedback than your current setup.
