Serving
Hey Alois, I have seen many players doing a serve with penhold and later quickly switching to the tennis grip. They do it so easily and doesn't miss the ball when returned but when I try it, it never works. While I switch, the ball comes and I miss it. How do I overcome this?
Hi Dipayan,
What you might be seeing is them using a modified Shakehand or Tennis grip to do the serve. To do this you take the three fingers off the handle and make a ist behind the handle. This then allows you to use your wrist the same way as Penhold players. Then it is an easy transition back to the shake hand grip by just putting the three finger around the handle again.
