hi

i have heard a lot about sweet spots in table tennis rubbers but what does is actually mean or do?

Hi Anthony,

It is just the area where the ball reacts best.  It is usually around the middle of the bat. It is usually referred to more with the blade rather than the rubber.  The rubber should have an even effect but the blade may feel better when you hit it closer to the middle.  Some blades this area will be a little larger than others.
