Strategy
Hi Alois and Jeff,
Today i just played in a state tournament i had to to pass the quarter to come to national but i lost, fortunately i still have a chance left in the doubles and team event. Anyway my concern is that the player i lost against as a very bad player he just made space and countered i just don't understand that -i gave him some chop he played it, i rolled the ball he smashed it. I found out 1 way to defeat him but when the side changed I could not understand whether it is its forehand or backhand. Now I want to find out how i could do something to defeat him plz plz plz help me defeat this player.
thanks in advance
Hi Eshaan,
I think you need to make the first attack ball faster. If you have good technique on the topspin stroke, then make the stroke slightly faster. Sometimes it doesn’t take much of a difference to change the whole game.
Most table tennis rallies last just 3.4 shots. So if you want to win more matches, you need to master the short game! In this episode of the PingSkills Show, you’ll learn why the short game is so important and how to control the first few shots to stop your opponent from attacking first.
Whether you’re struggling with your short push, not sure when to flick, or want to stop giving away easy attacks, this video will help you play smarter.
