Strokes
Hi PingSkills
I really got problem on how far from table I should do a topspin stroke
I found that I should stand near for the topspin stroke and stand further for the loop
But I still wonder what's the right position to stand
please help me
thank you very much
Hi Frendy,
Stand at a distance you feel comfortable. You can also change the type of stroke you pay depending on where you find yourself.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.

Can you please tell me how far should I stand from the table as a guide?
To start with stand a a distance where you can just touch the table.

Sorry, but I mean stance to topspin as a guide
It depends on how deep the return is. Adjust your position accordingly.

What is the difference between the terms topspin service return and loop return. Aren't they the same thing?
Thanks
Hi Joe,
The Loop is just a slower type of topspin. Don’t need to get too worried about the terms.
